Holiday Spiced Nut Clusters
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups of your favorite Aurora roasted nuts such as
peanuts, cashews, almonds, walnuts - 1/2 cup Aurora dried cranberries or chopped dried cherries
- 1/4 cup Aurora pumpkin seeds (optional for extra texture)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate (for drizzling or dipping)
- Optional: flaky sea salt or edible gold dust for garnish
Instructions:
- Mix nuts and dried fruits in a bowl.
- Mix the Syrup and Spices:
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine maple syrup (or honey), brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes).
- Coat the Nuts:
- Pour the spiced syrup over the nut and mixture and stir until evenly coated.
- Form Clusters:
- Spoon small mounds of the nut mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, pressing gently to form clusters. Allow them to set for 20-30 minutes, or until the syrup hardens.
- Decorate with Chocolate:
- Once the clusters are set, drizzle melted dark chocolate over each one or dip half of each cluster into the chocolate for a festive touch.
