Holiday Spiced Nut Clusters

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups of your favorite Aurora roasted nuts such as
    peanuts, cashews, almonds, walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Aurora dried cranberries or chopped dried cherries
  • 1/4 cup Aurora pumpkin seeds (optional for extra texture)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup melted dark chocolate (for drizzling or dipping)
  • Optional: flaky sea salt or edible gold dust for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Mix nuts and dried fruits in a bowl.
  2. Mix the Syrup and Spices:
    • In a small saucepan over low heat, combine maple syrup (or honey), brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, allspice, and salt. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Coat the Nuts:
    • Pour the spiced syrup over the nut and mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Form Clusters:
    • Spoon small mounds of the nut mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, pressing gently to form clusters. Allow them to set for 20-30 minutes, or until the syrup hardens.
  5. Decorate with Chocolate:
    • Once the clusters are set, drizzle melted dark chocolate over each one or dip half of each cluster into the chocolate for a festive touch.
